Assembly guide — single shelter
For the 11 ft × 16 ft single shelter (5 arches). Longer shelters have more standard arches (about one every 4 feet); the steps are the same.
- 11 steps
- 2 or more people
- On flat ground
Rather have us do it? When we install your shelter, we also set our 6 permanent anchors.Installation and removal
11' × 16' × 6'6"
1.Prepare the parts
- Open the box gently: the cover is often on top, don’t cut it.
- Check the parts against the list and sort bolts B1, B2 and wing nuts W1.
- Lay out each arch’s parts: 5 arches. Keep the four 2-hole corners (EA) for the 2 end arches.
💡 A narrow end always goes into a wide end.
2.Build the 3 standard arches
Parts : Per arch: AC ×1, SA ×2, R ×1, B1 ×2, W1 ×2
- Fit a corner SA on each side of the centre AC.
- Lay the brace R from joint to joint and bolt each joint (B1 + W1).
💡 Wing nuts always face the inside of the shelter, so they don’t rub the cover.
3.Build the 2 end arches
Parts : Per arch: AC ×1, EA ×2, R ×1, BF ×1, BM ×1, B1 ×4, W1 ×4
- Same as step 2, with the 2-hole corners EA.
- Fit the male door rail BM into the female BF, then fasten the rail to the 2 corners EA.
4.Assemble the roof on the ground
Parts : SR ×9, FS ×3, B2 ×15, W1 ×15
- Pick the front: the side the car drives in. Parts FS, L2 and DIA go on that side.
- Stand the arches in a row: one end, the 3 standard, the other end.
- Join them with 3 lines of spacers (the ridge and both sides of the roof): 3 SR then 1 FS at the front.
5.Legs and diagonal — side 1
👥 2 peopleParts : L1 ×4, L2 ×1, DIA ×1, SR ×3, FS ×1, B1 ×1, B2 ×5, W1 ×6
- With two people, lift one side of the roof and fit the legs into the corners: corners first (L2 at the front), then the middle.
- Join the leg feet with 3 SR + 1 FS at the front.
- Fit the diagonal at the front: top in L2’s upper hole, bottom on the next leg’s bolt.
💡 Paver protectors: one under each leg. Tap gently, the rubber can crack.
6.Put on the cover
- Logo and windows go at the front. Unroll the cover over the frame from the side still on the ground.
- Cut 2 pieces of rope about 25 ft long (front and back). Thread them through every grommet of the arch, around the tube.
7.Legs and diagonal — side 2
👥 2 peopleParts : Same as side 1
- With two people, lift the other side: the cover comes with it.
- Legs, foot spacers and the diagonal at the front, as in step 5.
8.Tighten and tie the cover
- Pull the rope at each grommet until the cover is tight.
- Inside, tie the cover around each arch. At the bottom, lace the rest of the rope through each grommet and around the foot spacer.
9.Position and square the shelter
👥 2 people
- With two people, set the shelter in place, for example in front of the garage door.
- Measure both diagonals in an X (A to D, then B to C): equal means square. If not, gently push a corner and measure again.
- Check that every wing nut is tight.
10.Install the doors
Parts : PO ×2, DH ×12, S ×12, AE ×12 (6 of each per door)
- Shiny side out. Hook rings DH into the door’s top grommets, then onto the rail.
- An elastic tie AE in each edge grommet, closed onto an S-hook.
💡 To keep a door open: roll it up and tie it.
11.Anchor the shelter
Parts : U ×4, CU ×8
- One U anchor over the foot spacer near each corner.
- On soil or grass: 2 nails per anchor. On pavers or concrete nails won’t hold: you need a permanent anchor.
💡 An unanchored shelter can blow away or collapse. Anchor it before using it.
